Sloan Creek Middle School has been rated an "Exemplary" campus based on the 2009 Texas Education Agency TAKS scores.
SCMS officially opened its doors on August 25, 2008 for students in 6th-8th grade. The enrollment of SCMS is approximately 850 students with a teacher/student ratio of approximately 22/1. Sloan Creek Middle School serves students living in Fairview, Lucas, and Allen.
Through an all Pre AP Curriculum in the core subjects of Math, Science, Social Studies, and English Language Arts, Sloan Creek prides itself on challenging students to reach their full potential. The educational community of Sloan Creek Middle School is committed to building an environment where academic excellence and the principles of health, equity, fairness, integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness are encouraged and upheld. Sloan Creek Middle School will promote the development of body, mind, and character in each student.
